Quick verdict on the JYSK Wellpur Elvane GF130 Mattress
The JYSK Wellpur Elvane GF130 Memory Foam Mattress is a firm all-foam mattress (around 7–8/10) with excellent motion isolation and a standout 25-year warranty. It is best suited to back and front sleepers, particularly those who prefer a firmer feel.
In our testing, it delivered strong support across the surface and performed well at the edges when lying down, which is not always the case with foam mattresses. Motion transfer is minimal, making it a good option for couples.
However, it is likely to feel too firm for many side sleepers, and like most foam mattresses, it compresses more when sitting on the edge. The extra depth compared to cheaper Wellpur models is not a major upgrade in real-world performance.
Overall, the JYSK Wellpur Elvane GF130 is a good value firm memory foam mattress with an unusually long warranty, but comfort will depend heavily on whether the firmness suits your body and sleeping position.
Pros
- Firm, supportive feel (7–8/10)
- Excellent motion isolation (ideal for couples)
- Good edge support when lying down
- Exceptional 25-year warranty
- Good value for a multi-layer foam mattress
Cons
- Too firm for many side sleepers
- Noticeable compression when sitting on the edge
- Limited benefit over cheaper Wellpur models
- Lacks natural materials (all-foam design)
The full review!
In a recent review, we were very impressed with the Wellpur mattress called the Hovda GF110, despite it sounding like a model of lawnmower.
We were keen to try out the Elvane GF130, which appears to be a slightly upgraded model for a slightly higher price.

Firmness rating of the JYSK Wellpur Elvane GF130 Memory Foam Mattress
The Elvane model that we tested is described as firm, which is also the case with the Hovda model.
However, we found the Elvane to be quite a lot firmer and gave it an overall rating of 7/10 or 8/10 (with one being soft and 10 being firm). For comparison, we gave the Hovda a score of 6/10 for firmness.
There is a certain amount of subjectivity to this, but it goes to show the importance of testing a mattress for yourself it a store or having a return option. Even two mattresses described as firm from the same brand can feel quite different to the user. That’s particularly true if you have tried out 20 mattresses already on the same day.
When I lay on my back, I found that the Elvane mattress was ever so slightly too firm for me. We are talking quite small margins here. I would say it was only perhaps 5% too firm for my liking. The same was true when I lay on my front, which is my preferred sleeping position.
I then carried out my usual test of lying on my back and putting my hand under my spine, with my palm facing down. It was relatively easy to get my hand underneath, which suggests that the mattress is a little firm for me. This is a nice simple test that you can do yourself if you go mattress shopping on a Saturday afternoon.

Edge firmness rating on the JYSK Wellpur Elvane GF130 Memory Foam Mattress
Our next test on the Elvane mattress was to see how it performs at the very edges. Many mattresses offer a good amount of strength in the middle but become floppy and inconsistent towards the edges. That wasn’t the case here. We found the Elvane mattress felt very similar across the mattress, even when we lay on our side at the edges.
We then sat on the side as if we were putting our shoes on. It compressed a fair amount, but that is true of most foam mattresses. It’s unlikely that I would roll out of this bed if I ended up gradually shuffling towards the edge at night.

Motion transfer on the JYSK Wellpur Elvane GF130 Memory Foam Mattress
We were similarly impressed with motion transfer on the mattress. This is how much you can feel the mattress wobbling when someone else in the bed moves. It was a little tricky to test this as we were only using a single mattress and we prefer to test it with two people, with one person staying still and one moving. However, considering the foam design and the firmness level of this mattress I don’t think that motion transfer will be a big problem.

Design, specification and warranty
This mattress is 100% foam, which is also the case with the Hovda that we mentioned earlier. The difference is that this mattress uses four layers of foam. The Hovda uses three, and so is a little thinner. Both use memory foam with some sort of cooling gel to try. This aims to overcome the issue that some people have with memory foam mattresses, where they feel a bit too warm.
Honestly, I don’t think that an extra three or four centimetres of depth will make a significant difference, in this instance. It is only really an issue if the mattress is very thin or if you are very large. If you are picking between the two mattresses we have mentioned then I would go with the one that suits your weight and build and is the right firmness level for you.
The warranty on this mattress is a staggering 25 years. That is well above what I would expect for this price tag. Always check the small print though as there is often variation in what is covered over the lifespan of the mattress.

Final thoughts
Overall then, we were very impressed with the JYSK Wellpur Elvane GF130 Memory Foam Mattress. It has an excellent motion transfer rating and strength right towards the edges. It won’t be for you if you want a mattress made from natural materials, such as springs, wool and cotton. However, if you are looking for a synthetic foam mattress, then this is a good choice.
I would caution that it is quite firm but it may be just what you’re looking for, particularly if you sleep on your front or back and are slightly heavier than me.
